More comedy power: Bavaria Fiction and GERDA FILM to co-operate

Munich - Bavaria Fiction and GERDA FILM, the company run by Chris Geletneky and Benjamin Seikel, will be working more closely together with immediate effect. Chris Geletneky, head writer and creative producer of comedy formats such as "Ladykracher", "Pastewka" and "ZDF Sketch History" and Peter Güde, author of "Vorsicht vor Leuten", "Falk" and "Deutsch-Les-Landes", as well as executive producer of the series "Mord mit Aussicht" and "Grumpy Old Cops", will jointly develop comedy material for films and series. The overall responsibility for the projects lies with Bavaria Fiction; executive producers are Peter Güde for Bavaria Fiction and Benjamin Seikel for GERDA FILM.

About GERDA FILM:

GERDA FILM GmbH is a joint production company of B | 14 FILM GmbH from Hamburg and the author and creative producer Chris Geletneky. The focus of the company, which was founded in 2019, is on fictional comedy cinema formats as well as high end series, which are created under the lead of Chris Geletneky and Benjamin Seikel.

B | 14 FILM GmbH (Benjamin Seikel and Vanessa Nöcker), produces documentaries, series and serial formats for TV and cinema. With a team of writers and directors, with DOPs and editors who have many years of experience with journalistic, fictional and creative formats, they develop their own film and format ideas, offer directing, conception and production at the highest technical standard – mainly for the international market, public television and also for the big screen. Among other projects, Seikel was the executive producer for the feature films "Night Train to Lisbon", "Searching for Ingmar Bergman", "4 Kings" and "My Brother Simple", Nöcker for TV documentaries such as "Paolo Conte" (ARTE), "Du sollst Leben!", "Wieder vereint" (ZDF) and "Traumflug durch Afrika" (ARD). Together they were most recently responsible for "Boris Becker: Der Spieler" (ARD/Netflix), "Peter Lindbergh – Women's Stories" and their current international documentary "Schumacher" about the life of racing driver Michael Schumacher.

Chris Geletneky, born in 1972, moved to Cologne to work as a TV writer after successfully interrupting his studies in theatre, film and television in Leipzig and Berlin. He becomes the creator, head writer and creative producer of award-winning TV formats such as "Ladykracher", "Pastewka", "Wolfgang & Anneliese", "Kinder, Kinder" and "Sketch History". In 2014 he wrote the successful comedy "Einmal Hallig und zurück" with Anke Engelke and Charly Hübner for ARD, in 2016 he published his first novel "Midlife Cowboy" and in 2019 he wrote the play 'Krank?!' together with Moritz Netenjakob. In 2022 his first feature film "Die Geschichte der Menschheit – leicht gekürzt!" was released. He plays in the Cologne band "BeerBitches" together with comedian Carolin Kebekus.
